This is your chance to learn how to capture breathtaking compositions of intimate landscapes amidst the beautiful chaos of forests, gorges, trails, and waterfalls. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, using digital or film, color or black and white – there’s something for everyone!

Craig will share valuable techniques tailored to fit your unique style. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to elevate your photography skills in one of nature's most picturesque settings! The workshop is open to all skill levels and will be limited to only 6 participants.  This will ensure quality one-on-one instruction time will all attendees. 

The emphasis will be on field instruction; however, there will be some time for constructive image review and post processing demonstrations using Lightroom, Photoshop and NIK plugins.  The overriding objective is to help capture memorable images while taking your photographic skills to the next level.

Most locations are easily accessible.  There will be some locations that may require some hiking with some moderate inclines.  Accordingly, you must be in good physical condition and have adequate hiking shoes.

The workshop will kick off at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21st.  We will gather in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express in Logan, Ohio Starting off we will go over some administrative matters, get to know one another, and go over the workshop shooting itinerary.  Then we will head out for our first afternoon/evening shoot. The workshop will end after the afternoon shoot on the 25th.

Lodging: A block of rooms has been set aside for our group at the Holiday Inn Express  12916 Grey Street, Logan, Ohio (740-385-7700) .  You must make your own reservations but indicate you are with the Craig McCord Photography workshop.

Tuition: $849: Workshop fee is for instruction only and does not cover lodging, meals, travel to/from the workshop. Carpooling will be encouraged during photo shoots. A $200 (150 non-refundable) deposit will be required at the time of registration. Balance will be due no later than 60 days prior to the workshop start date. ​

Transportation: Travel to and from the workshop is the attendee’s responsibility. Commercial transportation such as air travel and/or rental car expenses will not be reimbursed under any circumstances. It is unlikely a workshop be cancelled; nonetheless, it is highly recommended you consider travel insurance. Car sharing is recommended for travel and to and from shooting locations to minimize footprint.

Black and White: While this workshop does not have a dominating focus on black and white photography, I will offer and encourage optional exercises to broaden your creative vision to explore this aspect of creative fine art. We will discuss important considerations in previsualizing for black and white as well as what to look for in your color raw images later should you decide to make a black and white conversion from your RAW file. This is of course individually optional, but encouraged.
