Cancellation Policy
Workshop Payment and Cancellation Policy (effective 2022)
Sometimes circumstances beyond our control force us to alter our plans. Craig McCord Photography cannot be held responsible for any unanticipated circumstances (such as natural disasters, park closures, inability to access locations, weather, pandemics, etc.) that either prevents you from attending or from us altering our location shoots. I will do my best to work around any unforeseen circumstances. TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Payment options
When you enroll in a workshop, you select one of two payment options: full payment or a deposit, which can be made using PayPal or by personal check. If a deposit option is specified, it may vary depending on the workshop and includes a non-refundable registration fee of $75 - $300, depending on the workshop. Any balance due must be paid no later than 60 days before the workshop. Anyone who has not paid balance by due date risks forfeiting workshop spot and their payment to that point. Final payment due date may be adjusted depending on workshop (e.g., short notice scheduling). Payment due dates and refund policy may vary in these adjusted circumstances.
Refunds and credits
Your deposit secures your workshop space, ensures your commitment, and helps defray the significant time and cost required to arrange a workshop. Whether you’ve paid the full amount at registration, or a deposit to hold your space, if you cancel within 30 days of signing up (but not later than 60 days before the workshop), I’ll refund your full payment less the non-refundable registration fee.
Cancellations (for any reason) more than 30 days after signup are not entitled to a refund of the deposit amount. But if you cancel no later than 60 days before the workshop, I will apply your deposit to any future workshop. Until 60 days before the workshop, you are still entitled to a refund of the amount you paid above the deposit amount, less credit card fees if applicable.
One hundred percent of any credit will be applied the first time you switch workshops. However, this credit can only be transferred once. Subsequent transfers will not be allowed, and the credit will be lost if not utilized on the initial transfer. Your workshop credit is open-ended and remains on my books until you use it, or until I cease offering workshops. A deposit credit applies only to you and can’t be transferred to other individuals and other non-workshop offerings (such as prints). If you paid more than the deposit amount at sign-up, that extra amount is refundable until 60 days prior to the workshop. Starting 60 days prior to the workshop’s start date, there are no refunds or credits.
Cancellations
If illness, injury, personal emergency, or certain circumstances other makes it impossible for me to conduct a workshop, the workshop may go on with a qualified substitute instructor, with as much participation from me as I’m capable of providing.
Under no circumstances will I refund any cost not paid to me, such as (but not limited to) airfare, lodging, car rental, or meals. Though the chances of me cancelling a workshop are remote, for your ultimate peace of mind, I strongly encourage you to consider travel insurance to cover any losses resulting from a cancelled workshop or other unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from attending.
