Coming Full Circle

At the end of lower gorge trail of Conkles Hollow, Hocking Hills, Ohio

Some time back I wrote a blog post called Returning to the Cradle”. In it I discussed why I was returning to shooting mostly black and white in my photography. In fact, Not only am I now shooting mostly black and white, I am also doing it using medium and large format film. I guess I have completed the return cycle.

It's actually quite exciting and refreshing. After years of working digitally, I am really enjoying working with film and the 4x5 view camera again. Talk about slowing you down...but in a good way. And there is a certain amount of pleasure in developing my own film, being engaged in the whole process again.

Have I Given Up Digital and Color?

Well, the answer to that is no! I still shoot color digital work for the benefit of my workshop and tutorial clients, as in the past. And you can review some of the current upcoming workshops at the link below.

In any case, contact me if you have any questions on these. But there will be some workshops that focus on black and white and others that have optional black and white exercises. Hope you check them out

New Website

One thing that has really kept me busy is transferring my website hosting and rebuilding my website. Don't ever let anyone tell you it's quick and easy. They lie! Anyway, at least it's up and running, albeit with work still needed on a few pages and galleries. But I wanted to at least get it on the air. I hope you check it out and let me know what you think. In the process of adding new services up soon. Stay tuned.
